Abortion: I believe every woman should have the right to choose what they feel is best for themselves. If a woman is attacked against her will, she has the right to terminate a pregnancy. If a woman knows after seeking counseling that she does not want to keep a child, she should have that choice.
Criminal Justice: We need to offer more streamlined training and accountability in our law enforcement community. We also need to hire more criminal justice candidates to assist in police patrol. We need to utilize more DNA labs; this will help speed up the process of determining and finding criminals and freeing those who are wrongly accused. We also need to make it more accessible for citizens and students who want to give back to their communities to be able to volunteer and to help assist in the courts, road patrol, and police departments. Right now, we have people who want to help and to give their time to volunteer to make their communities safe. This will cut down on police and justices’ overhead expenses and departmental costs and can bring crime down by having a citizen’s observer patrol department (see, observe, report) assist police in various duties.
Economy: This is where we cannot spend more than we can generate from taxes. We need to audit our spending and to make sure that what we are spending our tax dollars on is benefiting everyone and being used in the best way possible.
Social Security: We need to protect Social Security for all Americans who paid into the system to ensure that Social Security will be there when needed.
Minimum wage: It is nice to get a raise in pay for everyone; except, every time people's hourly wages are raised (factories, stores, restaurants, etc.) the owners of these establishments will need to raise the price of their goods and services to compensate, which will be passed onto the consumer; are people really any further ahead? This is a double-edged sword.
Education: There are many forces that are affecting our children in and out of schools. Our children’s mental health is in crisis. As pandemic stressors continue, kids’ mental health needs to be addressed in schools and at home. We are seeing student suicide rates going up as well as an increase in school shootings. I will also have my administration research globally to see what works best for students and parents in gaining higher education at an affordable cost.
Student loan debt: I will have my administration search locally and globally to see what is working and how it can be implemented in America.
Energy and Environmental issues: I am 100% for self-efficient operation, which can be electrical vehicles and businesses powered by solar, wind or electricity from water turbines and windmills. This will help our environment become cleaner and healthier and help cut down on cancer-causing issues. In the long term, this will be healthier and safer for our communities for many years to come. Everyone needs to do his/her part in saving the environment, and wind and solar is a great way to start!
Trade & Foreign Policy: These policies need to be reviewed by my administration; I will look at what is fair and equal for each party. I will be firm but fair with all countries and people with whom we work in our global economy. Gun Regulation: I believe an individual should have a right to own guns for protection or hunting, providing they are of sound mind and do not pose a threat to others. However, I do not see the general population needing high-powered guns and high-capacity clips. These need to be only accessible by law enforcement and military personnel while on duty. There is no reason for high-powered guns to be in the general population, which could fall into the wrong hands of criminals and the mentally unstable. Healthcare: I believe all people should have the right and the ability to have access to healthcare and insurance, regardless of pre-existing conditions. If people can get access to affordable health care much earlier, they will be able to live a healthier life and stop life-threatening medical conditions before they start, which will help bring down unnecessary high medical costs. Medications need to be affordable to all people, or competition should be able to reproduce medicine at a lower cost to make it affordable to the public. Immigration: We are all immigrants– our ancestors came from somewhere else. I believe people from other countries should be welcome here providing they are properly vetted! This means they do not have a criminal background or are not entering the United States with ill intent. Immigrants cannot be a burden on the U.S., financially or lawfully. Border Security: We should be listening to the recommendations of our agencies on the border and take seriously what is needed to secure our borders. They are on the front lines dealing with this every day.
DACA and Dreamers: If they are currently living or born here in the United States, they should be able to stay if they have not been arrested for unlawful activity going forward.
Immigration enforcement: We need the government to streamline the processing of criminals and to deport them as quickly as possible. We need to review our asylum procedures and see how we can be more effective and efficient in processing applications.
